Welcome to 3rd Grade!

Dear Third Grade Trailblazer,

Welcome to third grade! We are so glad you to see you learn and grow as a third grader this year! We will be doing a lot of neat things this year and we are so happy you will be a part of them.

Your first chance to see your classroom will be Monday, August 15th at Back to School Night. You can come to visit anytime between 5:00-6:30 p.m. Please bring your supplies with you so we can be ready for our first day of school.

Enjoy the rest of your summer and we will see you soon!

Mrs. Anderson, Mrs. Einerson, Mrs. Davis, and Mrs. Persinger

Meet Your Teachers...

About Mrs. Anderson...

My name is Jani Anderson. This will be my 8th year of teaching and my second year as a Trailblazer.  I was born and raised in St. Louis, MO.  I attended (and played collegiate softball @) Western Illinois University and UM-St. Louis to earn my Bachelor's Degree, and I attended Lindenwood University to earn both my Master's Degree and Administration Certification.  I taught fourth grade for six years and sixth grade math for one year.  My husband, John, works at the Ford Plant in Claycomo, and we have two spunky boys.  Brady is nine and Luke is eight.  My boys and I are thrilled to make LC our home - we feel truly blessed to be a part of this amazing school community.   Fun Fact:  My lucky number is seven because of my birthdate of 7-7-77.  Let's have a fantastic year!

About Mrs. Davis...

It’s hard to believe I am beginning my 14th year as a teacher and as a Lewis and Clark Trailblazer.  My co-teacher Mrs. Einerson and I are so excited to welcome a new group of third graders this year.  When I am not at working with students at school, I love spending time with my family – my husband Mitch, our daughter Nora, who is in kindergarten at Lewis and Clark, and our daughter Darby who is beginning preschool.  We love to have movie nights, go on walks, and cheer on Sporting Kansas City!  Here’s to a great year in third grade!

About Mrs. Einerson...

Hello!  I am so excited to be starting my 11th year in education.  I have been at Lewis and Clark for the past 4 years, and I am happy to be beginning my 2nd year of co-teaching with Mrs. Davis.  It is going to be an amazing school year.  When I am not learning from my students I am with my family.  My husband Tait and I have three awesome kids.  Thea is eight and will be a 3rd grader, Calla is seven and will be a 2nd grader, and Abram is 19 months old.  Thea, Calla and I get to come to LC everyday together, it is simply the best!  We are a very active family that loves soccer, watching movies, riding bikes, and cooking together.  I can not wait to get to know all of you!

About Mrs. Persinger...

Hi, my name is Theresa Persinger. I have been a teacher for two years as well as Resource Paraprofessional and Intervention Specialist for three years prior to my student teaching. I have graduated from Rio Salado College with certification in Elementary Education. In addition to this certification, I have obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Science minoring in Education as well as currently pursuing my Master’s Degree in Integrating Technology into the Classroom. I am married and have three children, Mackenzie, Drake and Sierra. As a family we are very active in sports and love watching baseball! I look forward to spending time with your child this year!
